Have you reached a point in your life where you feel stuck? Have you reached a wall and aren’t sure where to go?
It can happen at various times throughout your life. Maybe you’ve reached a plateau in your career. Or you’re feeling stuck in a relationship. Or you’re not sure if you’re ready to get married and have kids.
This is a feeling you’ll have again and again. When you progress to the point where you no longer feel challenged, things start to change.
There are different levels of feeling stuck.
Some might be temporary. Some might last for months. The longer it goes on, the more feelings in can conjure up. That’s where you start questioning everything.
The feeling of being stuck can happen for a variety of reasons.
You don’t know what you want. You realize something has to change, but you aren’t sure what to reach for. You no longer have concrete goals or dreams to work towards. You might be busy, but you rarely feel fulfilled.
You’re chasing the wrong goal. Are you doing what you want to do? Or are you chasing someone else’s dream? Too often we spend years climbing the wrong ladder, only to realize we chose a path because of someone else’s intentions.
You’re not getting the help you need. If you’ve relied on yourself for advice and perspective, maybe it’s time to look for someone new to talk to and rely on. What you need is a good source of inspiration; find it in a new mentor, a new class, or even a new relationship. It can change everything.
