The end of the year is all about reflection. We look back on how we grew and changed. We evaluate challenges we've faced and how we’ve moved beyond.
We carry that over to the new year to set our intentions for an even better year. All of our failures we leave behind, and attempt to replace them with positive concepts we can use all year through.
Small decisions can have huge impact. Each choice we make can lead us down very different paths. So it’s important that we set intentions wisely and keep them close at hand. They’ll give you your purpose as you move through each day. They’ll focus your heart on what’s truly important. They’ll help you discover the real you.
Of course, intentions involve soul searching. You can’t transform your life without it. The better you become at setting intentions, the more change you’ll see in your life.
Listen to your inner voice. Your best intentions come when you really listen to that voice inside. She’s the one who tells you what you really want to do. She gives you purpose and connects you to living your best life.
Write it down. The best way to make something reality is to live with it every day. Write down your intention. Share it with a supportive friend. Work to do something to bring your closer to your intention every day.
Create your word. Your intention should never be a long, complicated thought. Instead, work to be able to speak about your intention with a word or a short phrase. This can become your mantra. Just by saying your word, it can bring you to where you need to be, and hold you for what’s most important.
Stay focused. Every challenge you meet, or new opportunity you face will be better met if you keep your eye on your intention. Stay centered. Don’t allow outside doubt or criticism keep you away from doing what you’re meant to do.
Trust. Everything is possible. Don’t listen to the little voice who tries to pull you away from what’s most important. The only way to see big change is to trust you’re on the right path, no matter what.
